Little Woolly Hat

'Little Woolly Hat' is my mumpreneur project.

It is still in it's infancy, simply because I'm busy making a selection of products to sell before I unveil the online store. I have sourced an ecommerce website that I may use but also might test the waters via etsy/folksy. The fees associated with selling via these platforms may cost more than website fees. A business plan is needed...  but crocheting delightful little pieces is much more appealing!

The reason for me wanting to become a mumpreneur is really quite simple I feel. I have two young children and although they're at school age and don't need me during the day, they need me morning and evening and still the costs associated with child care or before and after school care is still immense. Being a mumpreneur means I can still be the Mum and homemaker and hopefully add to my family's finances... plus giving me a project and adding to my self worth.

So the business has a name, a picture I would like to use for the logo and a couple of hats (I'm keeping them under wraps just now though)

Just a hello..

Wow, a blog by me.

I'm actually quite nervous about having a blog because I'm an avid follower of many a brilliant blog. I'm nothing special at all, don't have any special qualities nor particularly creative.. but I'm a Mum and a homemaker interested in crochet, baking, walking, photography, gardening and home decor all on a shoestring.

Things are a little bit 'in the air' at the moment. My husband has been asked if he would work on the Outer Hebrides and we're itching to go but we're yet to find out whether his workplace want to go ahead with the plan once they've worked out the costings.

We both relish the thought of moving there but have to stay grounded because if we have to stay here, well I don't really want to think about the disappointment.

I should also mention I am an Open University student working towards a degree in Psychology. I find it a fascinating subject and get to figure out why  'I am the way I am'.

I have many a story to tell about my life.. all 31 years of it and I'm sure that on the days when I'm feeling particularly down I'll open up.

So.. to frugaliciously homemaking! x
